Hi, I’m Claire, the woman behind Sydney & Wattle. Six years ago, during a time when the world suddenly seemed to slow down, I found myself thinking more seriously about something I had always loved: fashion. I wanted to create a place where women could find beautiful pieces that felt elegant, comfortable and easy to wear in everyday life. What started as a small idea during those uncertain days gradually grew into something far more meaningful than I ever expected. I’ve always believed that style shouldn’t be complicated or reserved for special occasions. The right dress, blouse or pair of shoes can simply make you feel a little more confident when you walk out the door. That belief became the foundation of Sydney & Wattle, and it still guides every collection we put together today. Looking back six years later, I’m incredibly grateful that I decided to take that first step.

From the beginning, I wanted Sydney & Wattle to feel different from fashion that simply follows every new trend. My passion has always been finding timeless, feminine pieces that women can genuinely enjoy wearing, whether it’s for lunch with friends, a weekend away or simply a beautiful everyday outfit. I love clothing that feels considered without feeling overdressed, and stylish without sacrificing comfort. That is why our collections focus on pieces that are easy to combine, flattering and made to become part of your everyday wardrobe. Over the years, I’ve learned that the most important part of running Sydney & Wattle isn’t simply the clothing; it’s the women wearing it. Every order, kind message and returning customer reminds me why I started this journey in the first place. Even after six years, I still get excited when we discover something that I know our customers will love. For me, that feeling has never disappeared.
Six Years On, and Still Grateful
Celebrating our 6th anniversary feels incredibly special to me because Sydney & Wattle would never have reached this point without the women who have supported us along the way. What began as a personal passion has grown into a community that I’m genuinely proud of. I never want Sydney & Wattle to become a store that loses the personal feeling it started with. I want you to feel welcome when you shop with us and confident that there are real people behind the name who genuinely care about your experience. And as for how much longer I plan to continue? I’m certainly not finished yet. There are still so many beautiful collections I want to share and so much more I want Sydney & Wattle to become in the years ahead.
